Won't dry/missing insulation

I have had this dishwasher for approx. 3-4 weeks. The first thing that I found was NO insulation blanket(for noise & heat) was included with the dishwasher. After contacting the service center and discussing the issue with a company representative, I was sent what was to be the insulation blanket.... but instead I got a "moisture barrier." That was the first problem. The next problem is this dishwasher DOES NOT DRY THE DISHES!!!!!! I have to hand dry them and the inside of the dishwasher after every use. It is also very noisy. Without any insulation blanket NO WONDER!!! I would NOT recommend this product and so far the service department has not been one bit helpful.

I bought this dishwasher a month ago to replace my 12 year old GE model. This model cleans better than the other more expensive model with all the bells and whistles. It is much easier to use since there are less settings to figure out. Easy installation, looks and runs great. It is as quiet as the higher end model as well.

Purchased this lower end model after my high tech KitchenAid dishwasher died after less than 4 years of infrequent use...failed within two months after purchase followed by at least 4 service calls for various computer parts to be replaced. The Amana is a bare bones basic model, but I want a machine which washes dishes--not one that answers the phone and prepares dinner. In other words, the less computerized and the more mechanical features = less headaches and hopefully, longevity. Note: I purchased the SS --it looks nice but it is very noisy but dishes wash and dry well...much better than the KitchenAid which I paid almost 3x more for the NAME...

Does not dry dishes as well as I wish it would. Always looks on the inside like it hasn't dried at all, water running down the inside door and sides. It is very quiet. I run the sanitize wash and it takes something over an hour to complete, not a complaint, just longer than I thought it would be. Dishes are clean. Wish it had a dry only to see if that would help.

drying function did not work first time used dish washer.installed july 11 2017. warrenty repair showed up 12 july 2017 said he had to order control board would.take 3 to 4 days. had not heard from him after a week today is aug 5 2017 still no part to fix the dish washer. no I will not recommend this to a friend without telling about my experience with this company, sad when a customer cannot take a new unit back and get it replaced. company needs to do a better quality check before sending units out.and keep repair parts in stock when needed.

Spacious interior for large dish loads. Dishes are thoroughly cleaned. No spots, residue or streaks. Only negative was that salesman said everything for install was included. Not accurate!! Made 3 trips back to store until they finally gave us the right parts. Ended up install kit was needed from the start & had to be purchased separately. Definitely appreciate the fact that Amana is American made.

Our old dishwasher up and died. This one was recommended by our local appliance store and the price-point was right. I really like the separate water spinner under the upper rack, and the water saving options that are so important in California (notwithstanding the recent deluges). The racks and door are solid and make me confident that they will hold dishes and stay closed. The instructions keep emphasizing the use of an additional cleanser to keep dishes from spotting, but I haven't noticed any spotting even with air drying. The only downside is that the automatic washing doesn't know how to cope with opening the unit after washing in order to let the dishes air dry. This may be user error on our part, but we've got a workaround. We've only had it for a couple of weeks, but look forward to many years of clean dishes.
